Ingredients
- 1 ball pizza dough
- 1 cup San Marzano tomatoes, crushed
- 4 oz fresh mozzarella, torn
- Handful of fresh basil leaves
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- Flaky salt
- Semolina or flour, for dusting
Steps
Heat the oven (with a stone or steel if you have one) as hot as it goes — about 500°F / 260°C.
Stretch the dough into a 10-inch round on a floured peel.
Spread the crushed tomatoes to the edge and season with salt.
Dot with torn mozzarella and a drizzle of olive oil.
Bake 8–12 minutes, until the crust is blistered and the cheese bubbles.
Finish with fresh basil and one more drizzle of oil.
